Members of the Goshen Boy Scout Troup No. 7 earned their Polar Bear Badges this weekend for roughing two cold winter nights in the outdoors. The seven area Boy Scouts who earned the badges are shown above pulling dog sledges they made out of tree parts. The boys were Terry Arrcher, 15, David Walker, 15, Bart Rich, 12, Brett Rich, 13, Todd Nisly, 10, Keith L. Wixson, 10 and Jon Zimmerman, 10. The boys slept Friday and Saturday nights in tents located near a campfire area outside the Scouit cabin, located behind the Goshen Moose Lodge. They ate pancakes, bacon and eggs, and hobo stew with deer meat all cooked over an open fire. Adult leaders who accompanied the boys were Dick Archer, Scout committee chairman and Keith E. Wixson and Dan Brimhall, assistant scoutmasters.
