Kathleen Peterson with her husband Thomas Peterson, a U.S. Navy veteran. Throughout his four years of military service, Thomas was stationed in New London, Connecticut; Norfolk, Virginia; San Diego, California; and Windsor, Connecticut. The Petersons enjoyed walking around the Elkhart County 4-H fairgrounds on Friday morning, "before it gets crowded," they said.
