Earl and Kathy Smothers visited the Elkhart County 4-H Fair for Friday’s Veterans’ Day Program. Earl spent 25 years in the Army, and is now retired. He served in the 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam for “Twelve months and four days too long,” he said.
