Roger Schneider | The Goshen New
Goshen firefighters extinguish a fireWednesday morning that was used to destroy a shelter used by a homeless man. City workers cleared away several trail loads of debris left at a homeless camp that was emptied Monday after city officials issued the residents 48-hour eviction notices. Most of the items left at the camp were placed into storage so they can be reclaimed, but Myron Grice, assistant building commissioner, said the one shelter was infested with insects and needed to be burned. The homeless in the camp were offered housing and/or addictions treatment, and city officials said many of them accepted those offers.
