Annette DeGuch, of South Bend, waves as she rides with a section of the Cops Cycling for Survivors as they turned onto U.S. 20 Thursdsay in Middlebury. The bicyclists, made up of police officers and supporters, ride nearly 1000 miles across the state to honor fallen officers every year. DeGuch has participated in the ride for eight years to honor her husband Paul, a South Bend police officer who died in 1997. "We ride every year to keep their memories alive," DeGuch said.
