From left, Guy Ellis, Christian Perez and Jay Burt help some young men from Bashor Children's Home launch wooden kayaks at Fidler Pond Saturday. Two of the kayaks were made by the Bashor youth over the course of six to seven months. Burt, Ellis, Perez and Zach McGuire taught the boys how to take a pile of slats and turn them into kayaks.
