JAY YOUNG | THE GOSHEN NEWS
Six-year-old Vincent Castillo-Miller, of Goshen, threads pipe insulation underneath metal chair legs as he puts together a marble rollercoaster during Family Science Night at the Goshen Public Library Thursday evening. On the second Thursday of each month, the library hosts a S.T.E.A.M. inspired Family Science Night with the goal of teaching children basic science topics while having fun. This month’s topic was physics. Participants learned about potential energy, kinetic energy and momentum by building marble rollercoasters out of pipe insulation and masking tape.
