Joelle Charbonneau, author of "The Testing" spoke at Goshen Middle School Tuesday about her book and being a professional writier. Charbonneau, from Chicago, talked about her background as a performer and how she never thought she would be a writer. "The Testing" is about a teenage girl who is selected to undergo strenuous tests in a post-apoclyptic world in order to go to college and become a world leader. She said she is currently in dicussions to adapt the book into a movie. Her message to the students to get out of her book is that a test does not define a person. "You are the only ones capable of determining what you can do," she told the students.
