Doug Smith of North Webster fishes at Dewart Lake near Syracuse Thursday afternoon. Smith said he was fishing for bluegill and had caught two keepers and one bass he had to release. “I’m thankful to catch whatever I catch,” he said. “I couldn’t ask for a nicer day.” Temperatures are forecast to reach the mid 50s this weekend.
