A Goshen school bus was struck Friday afternoon in the 21000 block of C.R. 36 west of Goshen. According to Elkhart County police the bus was headed eastbound on C.R. 36 between Ind. 119 and C.R. 19 when it stopped to drop off its last two students. Police said that the bus had its stop signs deployed and lights on when a truck also travelling eastbound struck the back of the bus. No injuries were reported, the driver of the bus, the two students, from Waterford Elementary School and the driver of the truck were checked out by Elkhart Township EMS and released. The bus was brand new according to officials at the scene, having just gone into service yesterday. Police said the driver of the truck said he didn't see the bus stopped because of the bright sunlight.
