Ice fishermen and snowmobile enthusiasts haven't been having much fun so far this winter. But the new year has brought colder temperatures and ice is starting to form over lakes in the area. This is a Syracuse Lake scene. Syracuse and Wawasee lakes are usually favorite winter spots for ice fishing and snowmobiling. The temperatures dipped to 15 degrees this morning after reaching a high of 27 Thursday. The Thursday low was 19. The temperature has been below freezing since a 33-degree reading was recorded on New Year's Day.
