THE GOSHEN NEWS PHOTO BACK WHEN Nov. 10, 1985
Members of the three Goshen veterans service organizations met Saturday afternoon for a brief dedication ceremony of a new flagpole in the veterans section at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The steady Saturday rainfall stopped just long enough for the ceremony, which included a four-gun salute by the honor guard. Pictured above in the foreground are James Hughes, commander of the Disabled American Veterans, holding the American flag with B.G. Hoogenboom, commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, while Jim Morse, American Legion commander, prepares to raise the flag. Color bearers are Ted Smith and Jack Pangburn, while those in the background include Max Snyder, Chuck Kyle, Bill Rieth, Jim Drummond and Al Richmond. American Legion Post 30 and the Goshen DAV hosted traditional Veterans Day services at 11 a.m. today.
