These boys may have more interest in Big 10 basketball than professional football as they play in a pickup game at Chandler School during Superbowl weekend. A year ago and five years ago young people were unable to play football outside, let along find a clear court for outdoor basketball. A record storm dumped heavy snowfalls on the Midwest five years ago at the end of January, and one year ago today Goshen received six inches of show, on top of a few feet of base that helped set records last year. Lores Steury, Goshen College weather observer, said today the snowfall for January will be well below normal this year.
